Alabama Trial Practice And Procedure

No "textbook" will be used. During the semester, we will explore the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure and Appellate Procedure, which can be found on Lexis or WestLaw for free.  Mrs. Zimmer (my law-school secretary) will forward, along with the Syllabus, four handouts including Selected Alabama Constitutional and Statutory Provisions. I will provide additional handouts and materials as the semester progresses.  Print the handouts before the first class and keep them in a three-ring binder for reference and study.

For January 10:   Please read Overview of Bar Exam; Overview of Rules and Statutes, Alabama's Court System, Justiciability, Certified Questions, Declaratory Judgments, and Rulemaking.  You should also read the applicable Statutory Provisions and Rules, as well as the cited court decisions.
