Our first class meeting will be from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28 in room 115.

Casebook: Posner, Richard A., Economic Analysis of Law, Aspen Law Business (9th ed., 2014).

Supplement: Gwartney & Stroup, Common Sense Economics:  What Everyone Should Know About Wealth and Prosperity (St. Martin’s Press 2010). 

I want you to enjoy the course and learn skills you will be able to use in your lives and careers.  Therefore, we will start with a chapter that all students feel at ease with and which will make future chapters more palatable.

The assignment for the first meeting is as follows:  Posner, Economic Analysis of Law, Chapter 5 on Family Law and Sex Law, pps. 159-189.
