Last Blog of the Year -DC and Atlanta

This past week, I found myself in Washington D.C. speaking for the ALI-ABA again on the topic of the discovery of electronically stored information. As always, I spent time with some of our alums. I met with Bob Stropp '75, Bob Dawson '71 and Jerry Kennedy '84. Bob Stropp practices labor law from the union side with Mooney, Green, Baker & Sandoin. Bob and I were close friends in law school. Bob Dawson is the principal partner in Dawson & Associates one of the country's premier governmental affairs entities. Jerry Kennedy has been in governmental affairs and now teaches. It is always great spending time with our very successful alumni.

I flew from DC to Atlanta where we had an evening alumni reception. It was the best alumni function we have ever had in Atlanta with over 50 people in attendance. Thanks to Bruce Edenfield '73, our Atlanta Cumberland Club President, and Nicole Leet '08 for doing such a great job putting it together. It was a wonderful mix of old and new alumni. I also got to spend time with some of my classmates from the class of 1974, Steve Whicker, Borden Taylor and Terry Pickren.

I hope that you and your families have a wonderful holiday season and a great new year.
