Advanced Evidence Seminar

Course Number:
613

This seminar will engage students in advanced work on evidence subjects that cannot be thoroughly covered in the introductory class.  Topics will include presumptions, burdens of proof, hearsay, and witness impeachment, in addition to topics proposed by the class.  (To avoid overlap with other courses, scientific evidence and expert testimony will not be included.)  The class will study and discuss problem areas and each student will research, write, and present a paper on a specific evidence issue.  The paper completed in this course will fulfill the graduation writing requirement.  This course will also satisfy the Advanced Evidence course requirement for those seeking a Certificate in Trial Advocacy.
