Comparative Tax Policy

This course will address the tax policy of the United States and compare same to the tax policies of European nations, with emphasis on the tax policy of Great Britain. The course will consider various tax models, including the value added tax, the consumption tax, the flat tax, and the progressive tax. This course will be taught as a survey course and will not require any prerequisite tax courses.
