Law and Religion

This course examines some aspect of the relationship between religion and law. In most years, it examines the constitutional relationship between the state and religion, primarily under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Topics include free exercise of religion, religion in public schools, government financial aid to religious organizations, and the relationship between religion and political decisions.
