Real Property Security

Real Property Security is the study of mortgages from both a transactional and litigation viewpoint. Review conveyancing, which covers the contract for sale of land and the relationship between deeds and titles in the mortgage context. In addition, we will discuss and analyze real estate finance, which includes: transfer, discharge, foreclosure, priority issues and the increasing regulation and litigation of the mortgage process. The course includes touring a title plant, attending a real estate closing and review of recent state, federal and class action litigation.
