Lentine to Speak at April 11 Cordell Hull Speakers Forum
Cordell Hull Speakers Forum is hosting John Lentine, partner with the law firm Sheffield & Lentine PC, on Thursday, April 11, at 3–4 p.m. in the John L. Carroll Moot Courtroom. A reception in the Great Room will follow. Lentine will discuss Gideon v. Wainwright, a Supreme Court case that ruled the Constitution requires the states to provide defense attorneys to criminal defendants. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the case. Lentine is a 1987 graduate of Cumberland School of Law. He is a past president of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
