Guest Speaker: Tanveer Patel

Tanveer Patel is the co-founder and CEO of Concert Care. Ms. Patel created and led CircleSource, a healthcare software development company, until its acquisition in 2010. She is co-founder, board director member and vice president of the Red Crescent Clinic of Alabama and currently serves as president of Birmingham Venture Club. She has served on the board of HIMMS.

Her myriad awards include: "Women Who Make a Difference 2013," Birmingham News and Red Mountain Theater Company; "Multi-cultural Business Friendship Recognition Award 2012," Birmingham Urban League; "Woman of Consequences Award 2012," Birmingham International Center; "Top Business Women in Birmingham Award," Birmingham Business Journal; "Women of Color Innovation in Technology Award," Birmingham Diversity Summit by the Birmingham Business Alliance 2009; and "Rising Technology Star Award," Tech Birmingham. She was selected as "Entrepreneur of the Year" finalist by Alabama Information Technology Association and was chosen as the "Small Business Person of the Year 2009" by Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.

The aim of the "Women in the World" series is to bring in diverse women luminaries from all walks of life to share their experiences, their passions, their challenges and solutions in their respective fields.
