Bob Greene focuses principally on federal and state environmental law. His environmental practice includes advising clients operating municipal, commercial and industrial facilities; assisting the management of such facilities in dealing with environmental compliance, permitting and other regulatory matters; representing clients in connection with investigation, removal and remediation efforts associated with spills and cleanup of contaminated sites; and counseling clients with respect to environmental issues arising in merger, acquisition and financing transactions.

BEFORE BRADLEY ARANT
Prior to joining our firm, Bob served as Deputy Regional Counsel, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region IV, coordinating all civil enforcement matters including case development, litigation management, and resolving legal and policy issues and was responsible for attorney training and development (including ethics and professional responsibility). He was also a member of the region's Strategic Planning Committee and actively participated in developing EPA policy and setting agency priorities and all legal matters related to surface and drinking water protection, underground injection well and ocean dumping regulation and wetlands protection.

During his tenure with the EPA Bob was responsible for all legal matters related to solid and hazardous waste management and response actions (both emergency and remedial) arising under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).

A frequent lecturer on environmental law topics, Bob's experience includes all areas of EPA's authority especially the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act as well as compliance with the National Environmental Policy ACT (NEPA) and the Endangered Species Act.
