ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition

On February 7, 2009, Cumberland School of Law will host the 2009 ABA Law Student Division Regional Client Counseling Competition. Heading up the event will be Client Counseling Director Joel Blankenship and Client Counseling Associate Director Allison Miller.

The Trial Advocacy Board will host a welcome reception for all participating teams and coaches on Friday, February 6, 2009 in the Great Room of the Law School.

Twelve teams representing law schools from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and Tennessee will be participating for an opportunity to advance to the National Competition held in Durham, North Carolina on March 12-14, 2009, and ultimately a chance to participate in the International Client Counseling Competition in Las Vegas, April 1-4, 2009.

The competition will be judged by 48 local attorneys and counselors who graciously volunteered their time.
