Cumberland School of Law would like to congratulate the following alumni who have been selected for the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum Class 9. For an applicant to submit an application to the class, they needed to have at least five years, and not more than 15 years, of practice as of Jan. 1, 2013.
In a press release, State Bar President Phillip W. McCallum (Cumberland School of Law Class of 1987) said, "The Leadership Forum is an innovative leadership-training program providing participants with a rigorous education and training that includes leadership, ethics, and career development. It includes sessions that prepare participants for interaction and relationship building with members of the legal, judicial, and legislative sectors as well as diverse organizations and communities in the state."
In total there were 58 applicants for the 30 slots in this class. In addition, of the 232 graduates from the previous leadership classes most have gone on to hold leadership roles at the State Bar, law firms, state Legislature or other organizations.
