Assistant Dean for Admission and Diversity Helps Balch & Bingham with Their “Boot Camp”
Jennifer Y. Sims, assistant dean for admission and diversity at Cumberland School of Law, helped the law firm of Balch & Bingham with their “boot camp.” The “boot camp” is a two day program at Balch & Bingham that focused on explaining legal careers and opportunities available for minorities, disadvantaged and underrepresented groups. Participating in this year’s program were 30 law students from seven law schools.
"It's really important to connect with leaders, faculty and others who have had a similar experience so they can understand what their unique challenges might be and how they can become the attorney they want to be," said Dean Sims.
