The Daniel Austin Brewer Professionalism Award

Posted: Mon, 05/17/2010 - 09:02

Each year at law commencement, an award is given to a graduating senior who best exemplifies attributes of professionalism that embody the ideals of a Cumberland lawyer.  Governor Albert P. Brewer endowed the award several years ago and named it after his father, Daniel Austin Brewer.  Nominations for this important award are received from law faculty, law staff and members of the graduating class.

The recipient of the 2010 Daniel Austin Brewer Professionalism Award is Adam Sanders of West Point, Georgia.  Sanders, who graduated with J.D./M.B.A degrees, is a United States Marine captain who will soon be assigned to a combat battalion in Afghanistan. He and his wife, Deanna, have two children.
