Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to speak to Law Students
On Tuesday, October 16, 2012, the Cumberland Republicans, a law student run organization, will host former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.
Gonzales will address law students in the Great Room at 2:30 p.m. He will speak about his time as our country's chief lawyer and share his thoughts about current Department of Justice controversies, such as "Fast and Furious."
Gonzales is the nation's first Hispanic U.S. attorney general (AG). He served for two years as AG when George W. Bush held The Office of President. Gonzales was invited to visit Alabama by the Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party, Bill Armistead.
