Lunch with a Lawyer Series - "Getting Involved During Hard Economic Times"
She is the former Assistant Dean and Director of Law Development for the University of Alabama Law School and co-owns a title company. Despite her busy practice and commitment to serving our Bar, Ms. Spruell devotes time for pro-bono work. In recognition of National Pro-Bono Week, being celebrated in October, she will talk about what kind of pro bono work she does, how students can get involved and meet attorneys doing so, as well as other benefits. The Career Services Office along with Cumberland’s ABA student representatives will host lunch in conjunction with the “Lunch with a Lawyer” series on Thursday, October 1 at noon in the Great Room. Ms. Alyce Spruell, President – Elect of the Alabama Bar Association, will be the guest speaker. Ms. Spruell will discuss how to get involved during these difficult economic times while maintaining a small and varied practice. Her practice includes business and commercial law, family law, and probate law.
