Thurgood Marshall Symposium

The 2009 Thurgood Marshall Symposium speaker is Damon T. Hewitt, Director of Katrina–Gulf Coast Project for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. The lecture, co-sponsored by Cumberland’s Thurgood Marshall Symposium and Alabama Appleseed, is scheduled Thursday, February 12 at 11:00 AM in the Moot Court Room. 

A breakfast will be held inthe Great Room from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to Mr. Hewitt’s lecture, and a reception in the Great Room will immediately follow the program.

The topic of the presentation is “Racial Justice in the Obama Era.”
